Geistown Borough is a small friendly community with a population of 2,555, governed by a "weak" Mayor-Council form of government. It is a challenge to operate the Borough on a budget of $800,000 and maintain the services that we provide to the residents. There are seven Council Members and a Mayor who are elected by the voters. Borough Council meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7 :00 P.M. at the Municipal Building located at 721 East Oakmont Boulevard. Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting. Involvement by the residents is essential for Geistown Borough to continue to be the best community it can be.
