The Highland Community Library is situated at 330 Schoolhouse Road. The new 6.500 square foot facility is adjacent to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and lies directly across from the University Park elementary School. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Highland Community Library Offers many services including story hours for toddlers through first grade, summer reading programs, inter-library loan, reference, and Internet service. Other services include video, audio tapes, children’s books, periodicals, reference, and large print materials, as well as, fiction and nonfiction materials.

Ms. Dorene Brooks is Director and can be reached at 814-266-5610. The Borough contributes $11,200 per year for library operations.
