Borough Information Portal - Cambria County Transit Authority

The Cambria County Transit Authority provides public transportation throughout the Greater Johnstown area and rural Cambria County. All buses are 100% accessible to the disabled. The Authority also operates door-to-door service for persons with disabilities who qualify. Geistown Borough allocates $4000 a year to the Authority as its share of the cost of providing public transportation.

The Transit Authority also owns and operates the Johnstown Inclined Plane, the steepest vehicular incline in the world. Call 814-536-1816 for more information.

Senior Citizens, age 65 or older, can ride Transit Authority busses free during non-peak periods with proper ID obtained by calling the Authority.

In addition, the Transit Authority has a Trolley car available for charter. Information on transit schedules, fares, and the Trolley can be obtained by calling the Authority at 814-535-5526.
